DODIE SY

Dodie Sy is an Irvine-based artist who explores the possibilities of sculpture by experimenting widely with materials and drawing upon deep personal memories. Sy’s sculptural ceramics are striking in their textural imperfections and dramatic neutral tones, conveying dual memories: the natural beauty and urban decay visible in his native Philippines. Additionally, Sy intuitively works with fabric, specifically canvas, to create elegant and highly detailed mounted sculptures.

Sy’s fine art practice has evolved alongside his professional event and floral design work. He has exhibited with CASA CDM since January 2025.
